Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer

Fantastic.

For me, I left the movie house feeling good. Can't help but compare it with Spiderman 3, where I expected more. Spiderman 3 is "over advertised" if there is such a term. But then, like beauty, movie is in the eye of the beholder =p

Are you a cam whore??

My friend told me that I'm sort of a camwhore, or cam whore whatever.. Sorry for being outdated with informal languages so I googled it :)

I chose definitions which fit the way I guess my friend used it. I definitely object with some of its meanings hehe.. You may want to google it also =p

Definitions:

One that posts endless pictures of themselves on the internet for people to see. The most severe cases keep posting new pictures just like the ones they posted the day before, and the day before that, and so on.

A person who is obsessed with taking pictures of themselves. This does not mean they are self obsessed. They usually love being in front of Cameras, Web cams, Video Cameras...

source : http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cam+whore

I don't take pictures everyday. I just do when I'm on a new place or if there are special occasions. But really, it doesn't cost much taking pictures today. Kaya pwede din kapag trip trip lang :)

Ikaw, cam whore ka ba? :)

Awakens from coma

...and still recovering. Are you one of those who experienced blog-coma? Oh well, am adding myself to the count. But the difference? I'm conscious about it. So many times I wished I had shared my thoughts, experiences and all. But I can't seem to break free from work overload. I don't know, I think I'm causing it myself. Looking back, it's not all work, there are plays too! =) Here are some events that happened for the past months I was not able to blog.

  1. Last March, I was invited as a guest speaker in my highschool alma mater graduation. I was reminded of my graduation six years ago and somehow felt how the seniors feel that time. The happiness of finally completing all the requirements after all the hardships and at the same time feeling of loss that highschool time ended. I just hope that I was able to empower the graduates to use their potentials and live for God’s glory.
  1. We had our company outing in Laiya, Batangas. At least I have posted our pictures and that would be it. Click Here.
  1. My friend, Ruzzel, got married last May 1. I was happy to be part of the wedding entourage. I saw my old friends and nothing has changed. We were so comfortable with each other though we have not seen each other for years.
  1. My cousin Kamil celebrated her 7th birthday last week. Again, during special occasions only we are able to see relatives. We missed her mom who’s working abroad but we’re excited because she, my other aunt, and cousins will be here on Christmas! My mom celebrated hers on the 15th of May and my bro last May 31st. We had the usual salo-salo at home.
  1. I was able to play badminton with my officemates twice and I think I’ll be joining them weekly to be physically well and of course have fun!
  1. I stepped on my eyeglass. Second, the LCD of our camera was broken. I haven’t brought the camera on the shop to get repair, I’ll have my brother to do it. It’s really distressing on the camera because I don’t know who caused the breaking. I realized that I still have to be grateful because I have money for the overhaul :)
  1. The best thing is just happening now! I’m on-leave and taking a break! We just arrived from Baguio before the crack of dawn. I’ll be writing about our trip on my next entry!
Oh I forgot to put on my list that I VOTED =)

I’ll make the most of my break for now.

I’m leaving you this verse…

“Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall, but they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength.” Isaiah 40:30

Harooh! Harooh! Harooh!

I guess there is no better means of advertisement than word-of-mouth advertising. I heard about the movie 300 last week. Since monday, it was the talk in our office. If only I don't know them, I would have thought they were part of the movie's promotion team hehehe. Some of my friends blogged about it and my friends who haven't watched were asking, 'have you watched 300?, ganda daw..'

So I decided I wanna see it myself, baka naman overrated lang but definitely not! I watched it on the big screen with my college friend. The effects were brilliant, the actors were superb plus the men were well-built sexually attractive hehehe, and the sound ideas were fantastic.

I learned that it's really hard to stand against many and it takes courage to stand firm but you have to esp when you know it's right. This movie also makes me proud as a woman stating that women give birth to real men!

There are just rare movies you wanna watch over and over again. Watch it, don't wait for the dvd's :)

The Pursuit of HappYness

Great movie! *applause* I was able to watch its advance screening last night at ATC. It was based on a true story of a man who never let his struggles defeat his goals. He didn't just set goals, he accomplished them. Who would have thought that a single-parent, homeless person would be a multi-dollar millionaire! I don't know if I'm just too emotional to have shedded tears on some part of the movie hehehe. But it was not all drama. =)

This movie is not just about making money. But one thing that captures me is the father-son strong relationship. The love and the trust is always there. Here is a line I remembered the father told his son, "Do not let somebody tell you you can't do some not even me, You got a dream? you gotta to protect it..."

Why happyness is mispelled? Just watch the movie! Hmmm, I know you can't wait so just google it ;p

The best things in life are free.

This week, I was blessed with....with free meals :) First day of the week, my aunt and godmother at the same time prepared tuna sandwiches for her son, my brother, and me. Since we are leaving before dawn during mondays, I get hungry as I arrive in Alabang although we eat super early breakfast. I ate the sandwich before going to office then ate the other during the afternoon break.

Last wednesday, I suppose to eat in our landlady's canteen. Before doing so, my roommate (we call her
ate), who's too way older than us and older than my mom actually offered me free dinner. She told me, she cooked more than enough for them and not consuming them that night will be a waste. I had veggie and fried fish that night.

This morning, again, my bestfriend served me free hash brown potatoes and coffee for breakfast and not only that, I brought some in the office, too.

Thanks to you all! God used you in simple ways you might not even know. God bless you more.

Now I'm thinking of the food I could bring home as
pasalubong!:)

UPLB fair '07..

I was there! It was tiring because of work then have to go back and forth to LB from Alabang! I went there on the 3rd and last day. It was all worth it! It's not the 'fair' perse I enjoyed but the UBE! The term I learned from my friend today. UBE as in Ultimate Bonding Experience!:)

Wednesday - Not only we had food trip but we also celebrated Ms. Babes' birthday! It was like a debut on the park. Our men danced with her while everyone was singing her songs. It was valentines day, the owner of the computer shop (where we printed some stuff for the bday surprise) gave me and chris chocolate flower hehe.

Thursday - At long last, I met Tina! We watched The Holiday in Festival Mall with Tza, Jeni, Mayleen, and Ria. I was the youngest in the group haha and I thought they are more behaved than me but they were all so kuleeet! They came back to LB around 2am! Great thing my apartment is only 15min-drive from there.

Friday - Went back to meet the alumni but as I arrived in LB, I took a nap first. To my surprise, it was already two in the morning when i woke up. Guess my energy was consumed and was totally exhausted! Still we went to the fair around 3am. Yeah, I saw some of my bacthmates and friends. But others went home and I wasn't able to see them anymore *sigh*

Saturday 9am, I'm back in Alabang! Grabe! Hindi ko naman talaga pinagod ang sarili ko nito... Masaya kasi :)
