There are matters shared by people in every stage of life. Kids enjoy sharing and comparing their toys with their playmates. Teens get so affected on how their appearances would attract the people around. Back in college, we shared our dreams, talk about our lives' purpose etc etc. The other day while I was in the elevator, I heard two ladies talking about their kids having pride on their faces. Once, I attended a meeting with our bosses and they were giving their insights about our economy and the like. Well, these are just few of the topics you could get.
Recently, I spent times with my colleagues discussing about life, careers, and relationships. Yes, boy-girl relationship! Most of us are singles and so we have our exchange of ideas and convictions. For some, getting married is the ideal life. I'm not saying it is not but if we would know that being single is a stage where we need to do God's purpose, we don't have to be desperate! I would not rush in just because everyone's committed. I'd rather mature and grow more in wisdom so I need not to be a damsel in distress to my knight in shining armor. Again, I am not against relationships. Indeed, I want to pursue meaningful friendships. Friendships that will draw me closer to God. I may sound too "religious" here but the truth is that I see more and more disposable relationships because their relationships are not centered in God.
I wanna share these couple of SMS sent to me.
"A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man would have to seek Him first to find her." - (17 Jun 2007)
Its tough to stay single in this world where everybody expects you to be with somebody. But staying single is not about having no choice, rather, it's a result of making intelligent choices! - (23 Jun 2006)
