The Pursuit of HappYness

Great movie! *applause* I was able to watch its advance screening last night at ATC. It was based on a true story of a man who never let his struggles defeat his goals. He didn't just set goals, he accomplished them. Who would have thought that a single-parent, homeless person would be a multi-dollar millionaire! I don't know if I'm just too emotional to have shedded tears on some part of the movie hehehe. But it was not all drama. =)

This movie is not just about making money. But one thing that captures me is the father-son strong relationship. The love and the trust is always there. Here is a line I remembered the father told his son, "Do not let somebody tell you you can't do some not even me, You got a dream? you gotta to protect it..."

Why happyness is mispelled? Just watch the movie! Hmmm, I know you can't wait so just google it ;p

The best things in life are free.

This week, I was blessed with....with free meals :) First day of the week, my aunt and godmother at the same time prepared tuna sandwiches for her son, my brother, and me. Since we are leaving before dawn during mondays, I get hungry as I arrive in Alabang although we eat super early breakfast. I ate the sandwich before going to office then ate the other during the afternoon break.

Last wednesday, I suppose to eat in our landlady's canteen. Before doing so, my roommate (we call her
ate), who's too way older than us and older than my mom actually offered me free dinner. She told me, she cooked more than enough for them and not consuming them that night will be a waste. I had veggie and fried fish that night.

This morning, again, my bestfriend served me free hash brown potatoes and coffee for breakfast and not only that, I brought some in the office, too.

Thanks to you all! God used you in simple ways you might not even know. God bless you more.

Now I'm thinking of the food I could bring home as
pasalubong!:)

UPLB fair '07..

I was there! It was tiring because of work then have to go back and forth to LB from Alabang! I went there on the 3rd and last day. It was all worth it! It's not the 'fair' perse I enjoyed but the UBE! The term I learned from my friend today. UBE as in Ultimate Bonding Experience!:)

Wednesday - Not only we had food trip but we also celebrated Ms. Babes' birthday! It was like a debut on the park. Our men danced with her while everyone was singing her songs. It was valentines day, the owner of the computer shop (where we printed some stuff for the bday surprise) gave me and chris chocolate flower hehe.

Thursday - At long last, I met Tina! We watched The Holiday in Festival Mall with Tza, Jeni, Mayleen, and Ria. I was the youngest in the group haha and I thought they are more behaved than me but they were all so kuleeet! They came back to LB around 2am! Great thing my apartment is only 15min-drive from there.

Friday - Went back to meet the alumni but as I arrived in LB, I took a nap first. To my surprise, it was already two in the morning when i woke up. Guess my energy was consumed and was totally exhausted! Still we went to the fair around 3am. Yeah, I saw some of my bacthmates and friends. But others went home and I wasn't able to see them anymore *sigh*

Saturday 9am, I'm back in Alabang! Grabe! Hindi ko naman talaga pinagod ang sarili ko nito... Masaya kasi :)

Dream wedding ....

My family got a privilege to be part of a garden wedding last saturday. Only a selected few witnessed the ceremony and most of the guests were family members. During the wedding processional, I was fascinated by the cute bearers and flower girls. We forgot to bring camera so I used my phone to steal shots haha!

cute cute...

When the bride came, as if I was the bride (feeling), I was teary-eyed. I saw in her an unspeakable joy but I also felt a thoughtful sadness realizing a transfer from dependent to being independent, having a life of your own. Going back to the wedding hehe, the couple is a perfect match. The bride, our family friend married a Canadian. I hope their love will grow everyday, sweeter than the day before! :)

Since I was nine years old, I always dream of wearing a debut gown. For nine years, I imagine myself a princess-like. That dream even if it was a small dream was fulfilled and I can't thank my parents enough for that. Now that it came to pass, might as well dream of a wedding gown naman hahaha!;p

Happy is my birthday!

What happened this week are things I would want again to place in my mind's photo album and browse on it to feel great. I turned, well ah, 22 last tuesday! I felt like I'm only 19 years young hehe =p Growing in age is really something you just can't hold in hand. But what's important is you grow also in wisdom, right?!

I'm so blessed with friends, great friends! Besides my family, I wanted to celebrate my special day with them and now it's a history, it happened, thank God!

I met with my college friends last saturday and we didn't go overnight swimming but doesn't matter, we had fun! We ate dinner in Palaisdaan Bay, Laguna. But something, as if by accident happened. We passed ahead the place and reached Victoria Laguna, hahaha! We paid the consequences of laughing at the first batch who rode a tricycle to get in there. We thought it was too far from Los BaƱos and riding a tricycle is not practical. But we're so wrong, hehe! We can't help but laugh on ourselves.

Divine and Chris prepared games. Both games are very new to us hehe. First is how much they know me and Irish and then we played charades. We were the last costumers there.. If only the waiter didn't told us that it's closing time, I guess we won't leave the place at the time. So we went back to LB and had coffee. Non-stop talks, laughs, and picture taking, too hehe! We have to end the night or the morning I guess. Irish and I stayed at Chris' apartment. *Guys thanks for the cake and the cute personalized mug you gave us* So sweet of you!

I wanted to take leave on my birthday but I already took a leave because of my cousin's wedding and there are works to be done. So I just went early so I could leave the office early. But to my surprise, God answered a seemingly impossible prayer of mine. When my officemate Rina came, I told her to greet me, and she said why am I at the office, I should leave, and situations like that are easy to deal with. Who wouldn't want to take break on your birthday??

So I went home to San Pablo, brought lunch for my mom and lola. I was able to spend time with them. I waited for my brother and dad then I told them that I wanted to go back to LB. They accompanied me to the station. When I left, my mom called me, she was crying so I cried too. I don't know why. I was crying all the way and didn't care about what people would say. I went to Robinsons and met Chris, she treated me dinner. Thanks! We went to Feje's place, I also went to the music team practice and there met my dear friends. we had some chit chats. After that, we ate and stayed at Chris' apt again hehe. When she opened the door, two of her housemates sang the happy birthday song. They let me blew the candle on the cake! Wow, it was very touching hehe.. Thanks best!

Wednesday night, Agee, Dang, and Emme, my officemates let me blew the candle on the cake Chris gave hehe. It was kind'a hilarious but great!

Then yesterday, my groupmates (ISG), celebrated my birthday, too. They are the ones who gave the treat! Isn't it very comforting?! Thanks to you all!

Thank you God for another year! I'm excited for your plans this year =) *ILOVEYOUGOD*
