I am certainly excited!

I usually blogged on the things or events of the past. This time, I'll be blogging on the events to come naman hehe... I'm excited for tomorrow, I'd be able to meet my dear friends, some of them are working already. Haven't seen them for a very long time and we decided to go overnight swimming in Pansol somewhere in Calamba, yey!!! They thought of having it this month as a bday celeb na din for Irish and for hmm, me hehe... I haven't told my family about this yet but still I can't wait!

But before that, I'll be attending a wedding ceremony tomorrow morning. I am my cousin's maid of honor. I hope every thing will fall into their right places. I'm very happy for my cousin Joanna! May it be the start of a stronger relationship with her and my new cousin Renan.

My request to take a leave tomorrow was granted!=) Tonight, I'm going home, yahoo!
'Til then, have a great weekend ÜÜÜ

There's no greater love...

I've been going home this week late than usual, no gimmicks, it's just that I'm still working on my project. Can't wait to complete this task!!! Well, until last night, I went out to meet my batchmates working also here in Alabang. David kind'a thought of this get together. I and Agee went at Seattle's Best in ATC around 8pm. There we saw David talking with a guy, definitely not our batchmate. I thought maybe he just saw the guy there and talked with him while waiting for us. But to our surprise, we are to get with them in Seatle's. Then, people popped up saying hi and hello. I can hardly remember names because they are many hehehe. To make it short, it's an outreach group for young professionals ahem like me.

I met there Sheena and Rona who led the group. I'm not new to this OG meeting every week because I belonged to an OG back in college. It was great! Actually, they said it's our first meeting. I miss sharing with people my experiences, my thoughts and the like. Well of course, what's new is that I got to meet with young pro's this time. We talked about God's love. God's love is great. Sometimes, when we experience hardships, we think maybe God's love is not there, or maybe because you have sinned that's why you are going throuhg this. But there is no greater love really than the love He forever will give us. It's constant, you just have to believe it's there!

Then I met and ate with my Kuya. He picked up my things so I don't have to bring it on my own today. Thanks brother dear.. Thanks for your advanced bday gift, too! =)

You can win an argument but lose the person...

PICTURES...

I went to LB again last night! I'm so happy. I've been occupied with work this week, working on a new project, and not that easy because I'm moving from web application to sort of windows application. Thanks to the people helping me.

I told myself I need an outlet to somehow release all the pressures, tsk tsk =) More than that I miss my friends out there hehe. Also, last night they threw a party for kuya jon where I spent my whole night! I had no idea it would be celebrated in a big place and the whole church was there! I had a great time and how i wish I could freeze the time and play it when all my worries are gone.

I stayed at Chris' apartment. We asked Glean to sleep with us para na din makapag-bonding! Too tired to sit and talk, so we had lights turned off, our bodies laid in bed, talked lightly and casually until 4 am! I have to wake up at 530 so I could go back in Alabang early. But what do I expect, when my phone alarmed, I didn't pay attention hehe! we all didn't pay attention actually. The two girls have to prepare for their ENLI class. I decided to seat-in na lang until the firat session.. But little did I know, I would enjoy the whole class! The class ended at 12nn.

Ptr Nixon from Taft was their teacher. We met him for the first time and the whole time I found myself nodding to all he's saying! It's worth the time, and one of the best saturday mornings I had! One of the so many things I learned and I quote, "you can win an argument but lose the person"! It will always remind me that no matter how pure your intentions are, no matter how right you are, when you argue with someone and hurt that person, you missed the mark. We have to do it in a gentle way, and don't feel bad if sometimes you lose because eventually you will win the person! =) So much impartations I received from him.. I just hope I could get a copy of the cd of his lecture hehe!

I miss LB... I'm going home late on a saturday but the joy I had with my friends cannot be replaced!

God thank you!!!

I am so blessed this day.. May I be a blessing to the people around me, too.. Have a great weekend! I'm currently having one =)

Not an ordinary day...

I don't feel like getting up early this morning. I want more sleep as in sleep all day!

Last saturday we attended a birthday celebration of Lior, my niece.. A very sweet and pretty girl (manang mana sa tita hehe). My brother picked me up here in Alabang. We went home first and met our relatives from Batangas who visited my mom. They brought fresh veggies, chicos, and 1 native chicken hehe, still alive and kicking. We didn't stay long and went straight for the party. We arrived around 5pm already. A lot of foods were served! I'm pigged out again. Well, not mentioning we passed on a drive-thru going home.

I just enjoyed the time. We were singing and dancing like crazy hehe. I was able to chat again with my relatives in Israel and London. seeing them using a web cam is great and yet frustrating because you just wanna grab hold of the person and you just can't. I'm excited to see you all this year!!!

Congrats Karen! I was able to play guitar for a longer period of time hehe. I'm glad I still could recall the songs I've patiently learned before...

And now, I'm given another week. Thank you Lord! Hmmm, this day's gonna be a wonderful and lovely day!!!

A fresh start and a new beginning

This is my first 2007 entry. My friends have written theirs already. Though I had many attempts to update my blog I need to work first yeah work work.

Just a glimpse of what I did during the break. I really missed staying home and oh the food of course yum yum... I have seen my relatives I got to see during Chritstmas only. Some of the little kids have grown fast. Some of them, I met for the first time. Christmas is really different, it brings glow to everyone's face. I love it!

Day after christmas is my lil' brother's birthday. My nearby relatives ate dinner with us. We were very happy because my mom participated on the said occasion. I missed her seeing that way, eating a lot, talking with the people around her and every time I see her happy, I'm happier. The next days were at work again. I'm not used to short vacations but then there's always a first time.

Two days before new year we had our family reunion on my father's side. Again we had it done in our home. Everyone was present. We were around forty I think. It was totally a great night! It's a potluck party, the food were delicious. My dad and uncles made ihaw-ihaw, too. Instead of having exchange gifts, we made the brought gifts as raffle prizes. I got a foot lotion hehe. Everyone's attention were caught when somebody throws coins/candies.

The night wouldn't be complete without you dancing the BOOM TARAAT song. Grabe!!! You can't have an excuse for not dancing because my uncles who were a bit drunk would force and drag you in the center. Because my grandmom doesn't want to, they joined her hahaha! We finished around 3am after playing the blackout bingo. What a night, we had a blast!!!

New year's eve, food trip again! We got to talk with our relatives abroad, thanks to g-talk =) I miss you guys!

Yesterday, Agee asked me my New Year's resolution and wasn't able to answer. It's already the fourth and still, I can't specify anything. I guess they are too many to tell haha. Well, I dunno if you would agree on this. In fact research indicates that:

  • 80% of us would have broken our resolves by January 31!
  • Sadly only 5% of us would have continued in our quest to see through the resolution by year end.
  • At the end of day when we prepare our New Year resolution, we are half-hearted about it.
For me, new year is a good time to assess yourself. Some never make resolutions because they say they never keep them anyway. But don't you think it's worse not wanting to change, improve, and do different things this year? So what if I fail? Then I'll make sure those failures would all the more motivate me further. I remember my Management professor when he told us, "if we fail to plan then we plan to fail".

As of now, I still have no specifics. I'll ask God for wisdom on the resolutions I have to make. I might stop or start an activity but I'd make sure it would honor HIM and rely on HIS strength to be committed to it.

Hope we achieve the things we set for this year!
