Alibijaban? Alibihaban? What? Where is that? That was my reaction when I heard of the island. I've never really heard of this island in the Philippines and to think I am Pinoy! Fun fact - Philippines has 7,107 islands of which 2,000 are inhabited. Ask me and I can only enumerate thirty more or less hahaha.
Just a side story, this trip was unplanned. Well actually, me and my two friends were booked to go to Calaguas but because of an unexpected typhoon, the trip was cancelled I think three days before! That was the worst news of all. We have been telling friends about our vacation and then.... NOOOOOOO! Tell me this is not happening I told my friend.
Then I got a text from my friend saying she has a friend looking for more people to join his trip but was posted few weeks back. The dates were exactly our vacation dates. I got excited again and told my friend, contact him immediately! The good news: he can still accommodate. The bad news: only two people. Remember, we are three! Again, I got sad. Told myself not meant to be and slept. The next day, my friend informed me, hey somebody cancelled last minute and they can now accommodate the three of us! WOAH LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! The next day I saw myself with people I don't know and the rest is history lol.
There is nothing much written about this island, not in wikipedia even as of this writing. Alibijaban island is a small paradise, located in San Andres, Southern part Quezon Province known as Bondoc Peninsula, commonly known as Bonpen. San Andres is one of the farthest municipality in all municipalities of Quezon from Manila. - See more at: http://www.albertthebackpacker.com/alibijaban-island-san-andres-quezon-province/#sthash.2qNZSWi8.dpuf
All I can say is that sometimes the unplanned things are the best! This is one of my trips I will never forget. The place is beautiful and the people inhabiting it. I'm glad that I met new people too! I definitely recommend this place to you. Enjoy our photos as much as I did!

During the night, we played with the local children. They taught us games and we were all laughing because we thought they were messing up with us. They made us dance and all those crazy stuff. But it was fine because you cannot explain the happiness on their faces. They were full of energy and loved posing for photos. No tablets, no cellphones, no internet - they just have each other. I couldn't be more grateful realizing what I have. ;)
With my two fave local kids hahaha kidding
Dinner is ready!
Tents are ready!
Ending the night with a doggie photo-op :))
